Letting Go

Ending a relationship that is not good for you sounds easy but can be difficult. There is one real thing that you have to do to finally walk away. Make up your mind PERIOD! Seriously sit down and in your mind ask your self these questions: Can I be my best self with this person? Is this relationship beneficial to them more than me? Are you happy to see yourself with this person in the future with out a doubt? When you come to terms with those things and just basically make a conscious decision to do what you need to do for you, everything else falls into place. A lot of people sabotage themselves by staying years in a bad relationship because they don't want to look like "the bad guy" or they don't want to be "uncomfortable". Maybe other aspects of the relationship work for them but they generally are miserable. Perhaps the spouse's family is really nice but the days at home are dreadful.  When you drag this process on it results in a...

Making Time for Yourself

As moms, moguls, divas, entrepreneurs, wives or just us plain Jane's; we are busy as women of today. We often take very little time for ourselves. Whether its taking care of kids, event planning or getting ready for a power meeting we have almost no time if any to take a deep breath and clear our minds. I have come to the conclusion that without out a meditation session or just a day of home stay can leave us near our wits end or even worse, post nervous breakdown. Take a break , listen to your body when it tells you that you need to rest. Listen to your mind when you start to ramble your thoughts. Its  OK , especially since in order to conquer all that you dream of, you must be sane, of appropriate health and fired up to do it all....so "I say love yourself enough to enjoy a little of YOUR life". till Next time! The Defeat Of Trust

By the time most of us are considered "Grown Up" we are molded into the person that we will be as an "adult". The things that we have learned can then be passed on to our children and our children's children. One of those things that I have learned about is the power of trust!  That its the one word can break the toughest of bonds and shatter the best of relationships. Blood cannot change the rules either, once you lose the trust of a loved one you can either choose to let go or work tremendously hard to get it back. One thing that confuses me though is the fact that  guilt  can mimic a lack of trust. A persons guilt can rot their heart; poisoning their minds into believing that whatever they have done to others will eventually happen to them. So a long history of paranoia, worrying, skepticism and never ending doubt is their life sentence. Unfortunately, this hurts the one who really loves them and eventua...

Relationships : Are they ever perfect?

After being in a handful of relationships and experiencing different things each time, I have come to ask myself "............ will I ever be completely satisfied or will I always have to deal with something ?" When I say "something" I don't mean small things; I'm talking attitude, jealousy, laziness, selfishness, etc . When is it OK to compromise? As a women and yes I am talking to you ladies, WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT WE CAN AND CAN NOT TOLERATE. Still through love we are inclined to give it a chance. So this brings me back to the question. Just because we may have to deal with a certain "bad" personality trait, does it make your relationship less then perfect? I would love to hear from you ladies and guys too! So here's what I think.... I don't think that a "defective" personality( who's to say its not you) trait would cause much of a problem, especially if the two of you really love each other. I do believe that as lon...
