Tough Love

Sometimes we think our children need to be coddled, nursed, or even protected when they don't . As parents we must understand that parenting is not all about keeping our children happy. So when we don't face issues head on that we have with our children, those same issues can grow into life challenges for them. Tough love...not abuse...lol, is very important and is a needed discipline that helps to correct behavior issues and allow our children to become independent people. So sugar coating and making excuses for why our children do things that they should not, facilitates the problem and helps it to persist longer. We don't have to do everything for our children!!! Let them develop their own strengths and weaknesses, not ones that we create by doing everything for them. Stop that cycle now, before its too late! And you have reached the level of stress that brings you to your knees.. !! Seriously, love lots p...

"Waste Not Want Not"

People always confuse the more is more scenario, thinking that less could not possibly satisfy them, when they actually have everything that they need. Have you ever heard that person who complains about everything, even down to the very air that they must "unfortunately" breathe. That is just a sign of a person who will "never" be satisfied which is besides the point and another topic :).  Today I came out to my porch, looked up into the sky and thought of all the wonderful things that I have to be grateful for. Of course I have issues, everyone does!! Its factual that all bad or even good things can be worse. That being said.....Its important that we VALUE the present and every ounce of GOOD that exists in our lives or we could find ourselves forever trapped by the burdens of our own greediness. Love lots Dee  ...Next time.

The Defeat Of Trust

By the time most of us are considered "Grown Up" we are molded into the person that we will be as an "adult". The things that we have learned can then be passed on to our children and our children's children. One of those things that I have learned about is the power of trust!  That its the one word can break the toughest of bonds and shatter the best of relationships. Blood cannot change the rules either, once you lose the trust of a loved one you can either choose to let go or work tremendously hard to get it back. One thing that confuses me though is the fact that  guilt  can mimic a lack of trust. A persons guilt can rot their heart; poisoning their minds into believing that whatever they have done to others will eventually happen to them. So a long history of paranoia, worrying, skepticism and never ending doubt is their life sentence. Unfortunately, this hurts the one who really loves them and eventua...

"When we GROW up"!?!

It seems like, as soon as we hit puberty  or maybe before, we "know the world". I mean no one can tell us anything, not even whats good for us. Then when we hit a certain age we realize that we didn't know much of anything and we were lucky we made as far as we did .  When we are growing into ourselves it is very difficult to tell if we are doing the right things because we don't yet know who we are.  It took me as long as my third child to really grow up(10 yrs)(0_0). As sad as it sounds its pretty REAL. These days its hard to judge because you really never know what a person has gone through or what has happened to them that caused them to stagnate. A person has to go through things to develop. The things that we endure end up molding us into who we are. Today , I am a down to earth , moderately social young lady. However, I enjoy staying to myself because I'm less exhausted mentally. LOL.... strange but ...
