5 ways to getting the most out of life!

First, let me start by saying that I am not a licensed therapist or a doctor with a mental medical degree. I am an expert on my life and I would like to share with you all how I was able to  get an understanding of self fulfillment and a life of happiness! 1.   Realize that you can control your own happiness! If all that existed in the worl d as we know it should perish, what would save you, what would keep you thriving?! 2.  Take advice as friendly suggestions, not an outline on how to live your life! When we have close friends and family we look to them for advice about many things. But there is nothing worse then screwing up all the time, because we cannot make our OWN decisions! 3.  Choose your battles wisely! I have never seen a person who picked and picked and kicked and screamed, get anything but a pacifier and diaper change!  A person who realizes their peac...

Natural hair at its Best....

Lavender Oil for Fleas

While the hot flea weather is ending, it's not to late for helpful tips on how to keep away those pesky buggers! While it is definitely best to take you cat to the veterinarian for regular check ups or monthly flea maintenance, in between  time you can use the essential oil Of lavender. Diluted in water or a carrier oil like extra virgin olive oil or caster oil in small portions can help repel and eliminate these pest from your home and keep them off of your pet. While some commercial repellents may be harmful to you and your pet like collars and shampoos, this oil  is all natural and in small amounts can be used as a rinse, spritz or added to a light mixture of natural soap and water for a soothing shampoo! The best part is you can use this for your home, on your furniture, and for your family and friends who may be allergic to your feline.( yes helps allergies as well). Hey, think I'm crazy?!? Just ask my three...

Making Time for Yourself

As moms, moguls, divas, entrepreneurs, wives or just us plain Jane's; we are busy as women of today. We often take very little time for ourselves. Whether its taking care of kids, event planning or getting ready for a power meeting we have almost no time if any to take a deep breath and clear our minds. I have come to the conclusion that without out a meditation session or just a day of home stay can leave us near our wits end or even worse, post nervous breakdown. Take a break , listen to your body when it tells you that you need to rest. Listen to your mind when you start to ramble your thoughts. Its  OK , especially since in order to conquer all that you dream of, you must be sane, of appropriate health and fired up to do it all....so "I say love yourself enough to enjoy a little of YOUR life". till Next time! "Waste Not Want Not"

People always confuse the more is more scenario, thinking that less could not possibly satisfy them, when they actually have everything that they need. Have you ever heard that person who complains about everything, even down to the very air that they must "unfortunately" breathe. That is just a sign of a person who will "never" be satisfied which is besides the point and another topic :).  Today I came out to my porch, looked up into the sky and thought of all the wonderful things that I have to be grateful for. Of course I have issues, everyone does!! Its factual that all bad or even good things can be worse. That being said.....Its important that we VALUE the present and every ounce of GOOD that exists in our lives or we could find ourselves forever trapped by the burdens of our own greediness. Love lots Dee  ...Next time.

Your Purpose

Remember when we were children or even teenagers, we had no clue what "we" were all about !!(0_0) I mean, speaking for my self, I had so many phases its ridiculous.--lol I was a tomboy, a girly girl, a sophisticated lil lady, then finally who I am today; plain, easy going , down to earth "Dee". Silly as it sounds it took all that to help me find who I am, along with the experience of life itself, trail with tribulations and the joys of course. The point that I am trying to make is that once you find your purpose and you figure out who you are, its very important to expand on that for the rest of your life in order to get the most out of it! Letting others decide on who you are can lead to unhappiness , bitterness, failure, low self-esteem and even depression. Its ridiculous to let any other person who has their own life depict or direct...

The Defeat Of Trust

By the time most of us are considered "Grown Up" we are molded into the person that we will be as an "adult". The things that we have learned can then be passed on to our children and our children's children. One of those things that I have learned about is the power of trust!  That its the one word can break the toughest of bonds and shatter the best of relationships. Blood cannot change the rules either, once you lose the trust of a loved one you can either choose to let go or work tremendously hard to get it back. One thing that confuses me though is the fact that  guilt  can mimic a lack of trust. A persons guilt can rot their heart; poisoning their minds into believing that whatever they have done to others will eventually happen to them. So a long history of paranoia, worrying, skepticism and never ending doubt is their life sentence. Unfortunately, this hurts the one who really loves them and eventua...
